Your Path to a Harmonious Profile: Expertise in Large Nose Correction

A large nose can impair the harmonious overall appearance of the face and represents a significant psychological burden for many people. In our specialized center for rhinoplasty, we are dedicated to solving this problem with precise, aesthetic, and functional surgery. Our goal is to create a new nasal shape that fits your facial proportions perfectly and gives you a new sense of self-confidence and well-being.

What is a Large Nose and How is it Corrected?

A large nose is an oversized nose, often caused by a genetic predisposition. The correction of this type of nose, often referred to as a nose reduction, requires the highest surgical precision. The procedure aims to reduce the size of the nose without impairing its natural function or the individual character of your face.

The procedure typically includes the following steps

  • Lowering of the Nasal Bridge:The bony and cartilaginous nasal bridge is precisely and gently lowered to achieve a straight and refined profile. Read more on the page for the Correction of a Hump or Aquiline Nose.
  • Nose Tip Refinement: The nasal tip is reshaped and, if necessary, reduced to harmoniously fit the new nasal profile. Read more on the Tip of nose correction page.
  • Nostril Narrowing: Since a large nose is often accompanied by wide nostrils, these can also be adjusted to create a balanced overall appearance. Read more about Nostril Correction.
  • Improved Breathing: In addition to the aesthetic corrections, the nasal septum is always checked for the need for straightening to ensure free and unobstructed nasal breathing. Read more about functional septoplasty.

Our specialists, Dr. Stefan Maas and Asad Garayev, rely on innovative and tissue-sparing techniques such as the Kassel L-Beam Principle to ensure the stability of the nasal structure.

Your Path to Rhinoplasty: Procedure and Aftercare

We accompany you every step of the way—from the initial consultation to complete recovery.

  • The Consultation: In a detailed, personal consultation, we analyze your facial structure and your wishes. Using state-of-the-art 3D simulations, we can visualize the expected result and answer all your questions in detail.
  • The Operation: The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and lasts between one and two and a half hours.
  • Aftercare: After the operation, rest and patience are of great importance. We usually remove nasal packing and the cast after a few days, and you will be socially presentable again after two to three weeks. Our comprehensive aftercare ensures that you recover optimally.

Safety and Transparency: An Open Look at Risks

Since this is a surgical procedure, complications can never be completely ruled out. We place the highest value on transparent clarification and discuss all potential risks, such as swelling, bruising, or temporary numbness, with you in detail beforehand. Your safety and well-being are our top priority.
